ARTIST STATEMENT

My work makes use of soft pastels on surfaces ranging from velour papers to Masonite treated with pumice and acrylic paint. Subjects are most often fanciful creatures and imagined landscapes. I enjoy the interplay of marks and colors - planned and unplanned.
