ARTIST STATEMENT
Marquetry: the fine art of wood inlay. Design an image; select the woods (and shells and stones) based on hues, grains & textures. Cut & inlay each piece with the direction of grain being important to depth and perspective. Glue, sand, press, and finish with an acrylic lacquer.
