A shiny green open pitcher with intricate, textured surface detail.


ARTIST STATEMENT

I form both wheel-thrown and hand-built porcelain and stoneware pieces. I love to carve leather hard clay to create imagery, texture, and movement. Scraffito has allowed a new dimension, altering forms, adding feet and handles, and giving my works identity as I imagine they're gesturing or dancing.
