A brightly colored three-string guitar made from a cigar box.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Handcrafted cigar box guitars made from cigar boxes. Necks are hand-carved from hard maple using a spokeshave, Shinto rasp, and conventional rasps. Fretboards are exotic or domestic hardwood. Fret slotting, fret dressing, and hard maple fret position markers are all done by hand.
