A stout, rounded wooden container with a delicately carved pointed top and inky black decorative texture.


ARTIST STATEMENT

I work with local native species from weather-damaged trees, firewood from my backyard, and other "urban salvage". The wood can be from understated to spectacular. I use a wood lathe as my primary tool. On some pieces, I add visual interest with dyes, paints, texturing, and pyrography.
