ARTIST STATEMENT

I create ceramics through wheel-throwing and hand-building, forming larger vessels that are then adorned with hand-painting using glaze and underglaze, sgraffito and mishima carving with metal tools, coil and slab shaping after extrusion, and wax resist painting and shaping.
