A hand-painted jewelry set in earthen and deep blue tones, made from dried gourds.


ARTIST STATEMENT

I handmake jewelry from Cassava gourds homegrown in my garden in Winona. Once dried, cleaned, and cured, I hand saw, sand, paint, and seal each piece. To paint my jewelry, I use a number of inks, oil paints and acrylics. I am self-taught and all of my techniques are my own.
