Every once in awhile I find an amazing book that is too damaged to be used in a library, school or even in a used book store. The woodblock prints used to create "the bonds that unite" came from such a book. They struck me as sort of tribal...maybe from the pacific northwest. What began as a group of very distinct human and animal figures became totally abstract once they were cut and reassembled. Interesting.
