Artist: Dan Ott

I love searching for interesting paper products in what I respectfully call "junk shops"...where merchandise is displayed in piles and boxes.  It was in one of these junk shop boxes in Walsenburg Colorado that I found a beautiful calendar from 1944 that had beautiful watercolor painting for each month of the year.  As much as I loved that painting, I love it even more as a geometric abstract  assemblage. "change is good" represents the arrival of Autumn and the idea that there is always something to look forward to.  This piece is beautifully framed in black steel with a triple mat pulling colors from the fall scene.  UV treated glass is used to protect the vintage ink and paper.
