This is an artwork inspired by the myths and legends of Arianrhod the Irish/Celtic Goddess of death and reincarnation. She ferries the dead in her boat across the sea to a magical land and represents the moon and weaving. Her owl form and dual sides are shown by her reflected self, showing her powers of both life and death. I created this piece to remember the strength and power of women as captured by ancient legends. The original painting was painted in gouache on board.
The giclee print is archival and printed on esatin 300gram paper. It is mailed in a resealable archival plastic sleeve with cardboard backing to prevent damage during mailing. Print is a standard size and ready to frame and hang!
