I have some dyed veneer that works nicely here - a bright red that keeps the eye on the piece. The background is maple - and the wreath is padauk and purpleheart. The photo really doesn't do the wreath justice - the whole piece is vibrant and bright. The flip side is padauk (yes, it is REVERSIBLE!)- for when you want a quiet platform to highlight a special serving dish! Price includes the separate base which contains the spinner).
