Beautifully grained Red Maple was reclaimed from my wood pile from a Duluth tree. I lathe turned the bowl highlighting the contrasting sap and heartwoods leaving a small accent section of bark with moss still attached. Hand sanded smooth and finished with a Danish oil base and top coated with a museum quality Renaissance wax which is intended for preservation. Not intended for food use. The smooth finish allows you to simply wipe as needed with a dry cloth, chemical cleaners should never be needed in general care.
