This bowl was made from the crotch section, which is where two branches meet, of a distressed Silver Maple taken just outside of Duluth. Lathe turned highlighting the grain and bark inclusions left in the wood. Hand sanded and finished with a Danish oil base and top coated with a museum quality Renaissance wax which is intended for preservation. Not intended for food usage. The smooth finish allows you to simply wipe as needed with a dry cloth, chemical cleaners should never be needed in general care.
