ARTIST STATEMENT
I carefully choose local MN & WI woods. I either lathe turn or carve free form using progressively smaller hand tools. My dyed woods are often two to four layers of dye with sanding between each layer. Each piece is sanded to a minimum of 1000 grit. Finishes vary depending on the desired end look.
