Directions to Powderhorn Park

The Powderhorn Art Fair is located in beautiful Powderhorn Park in South Minneapolis. The park is situated between Chicago Avenue and Bloomington Avenue, and between East Lake Street and East 35th Street. The park is four blocks south of the Minneapolis Greenway (13th Avenue entrance), and two blocks south of bus line 21A, which connects with the Hiawatha Light Rail Line just one mile to the east. The Park is easily accesible from interstate Highways 35W (35th-36th or Lake Street exit), or 94 (Cedar Avenue Exit).

Ride free on the Metro Transit Art Hop!

Minneapolis will host three art fairs the first weekend in August. Visit them all in air-conditioned comfort on the free Metro Transit Art Hop.

On Art Fair Weekend you can ride free between the Loring Park Art Festival, Uptown Art Fair, Powderhorn Art Fair and the Lake Street/Midtown light-rail station – avoid the hassles and expenses of driving and parking!

Hop on a free Metro Transit Art Hop bus at any fair or at Lake Street and Hiawatha Avenue, next to Lake Street/Midtown Station. Art Hop buses leave each stop about every 20 minutes.

Metro Transit Art Hop Metro Transit Art Hop service:

Metro Transit Art Hop buses travel in a circuit starting and ending at Lake Street & Hiawatha Avenue. Travel time between each stop is roughly 15 minutes. Volunteers are available at each stop to assist you.

Metro Transit Art Hop stop locations:

  • Powderhorn Park: On 15th Avenue at 34th Street
  • Loring Park: On 15th Street at Oak Grove
  • Uptown: Next to Walker Library on Lagoon
